Acting IGP Rai conferred insignia

insignia to durja kumar raiKathmandu / December 20: Acting Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, Durja Kumar Rai, has been conferred insignia today.

At a programme organized at Home Ministry Sunday, Home Secretary Narayan Gopal Malego conferred insignia to acting IG Rai.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on December 18 decided to promote Rai to the post of acting IG.

On the occasion, acting IG Rai expressed his commitment that he would honestly work for the security of the people and devote his all-out efforts towards maintaining law and order in the country.

He had entered the service as police inspector of the Nepal Police on February 15, 1987 and changed his service in Armed Police Force on April 17, 2001.

Officials at the Ministry and Armed Police Force were present on the occasion. RSS
