Minister directs JEMC for timely publication of books

Education Minister PokharelKathmandu / December 23: Minister for Education, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, has directed the Janak Education Materials Centre (JEMC) to print schoolbooks on time.

Inspecting JEMC on Wednesday, Minister Pokhrel said school students must have the textbooks in the very first week of the new academic year, so JEMC needs to work accordingly.

On the occasion, Manager Anil Kumar Jha apprised Minister of production and publication of the books. According to him, the JEMC will print 17 million books for the students from grade 6 to 10 for the coming academic year. Among these, it has printed nearly four million books till date.

The Manager assured the Minister that sufficient books would be printed by the end of the current academic year. Private press has been assigned to print the books from grade one to five. JEMC will take decision on responsibility of distribution of the books soon. RSS
