Pustantaran Nepal and Incredible Mountain Join Hands to Promote Dignified Aging

Kathmandu / May 14: In a meaningful step toward supporting senior citizens, Pustantaran Nepal and Incredible Mountain Private Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to collaborate on initiatives promoting dignified aging in Nepal.

Mr. Umesh Subedi, Managing Director of Incredible Mountain Private Limited, and Mr. Trilochan Subedi, Office Manager of Pustantaran Nepal signed the MoU.

Under the agreement, Incredible Mountain Private Limited will provide 2 % of its profit as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to Pustantaran Nepal’s programs focused on health, inclusion, capacity building, and intergenerational engagement for the elderly. Similarly, both the organizations will collaborate for organizing customized tour packages for senior citizens and fundraising trek for promoting dignified aging.

Pustantaran Nepal has been working to create dignified aging in Nepal and providing various services, including health and psychosocial support to the elderly people. With such collaboration, Pustantaran will be able to serve the needy communities.

As Nepal transitions toward an aging population and a significant number of youths migrate abroad in search of better opportunities, initiatives that promote dignified aging and establish support systems for the elderly are becoming increasingly relevant. Pustantaran Nepal, a member of the Global Network of Older People, is working to introduce new technologies and skills to better support Nepal’s elderly population.
