Actor Bhuwan KC turns director with ‘Dreams’
Kathmandu / January 15: Actor and producer Bhuwan KC now wears the director’s hat for his new film ‘Dreams.’ The film stars his son Anmol KC in the lead role along with debutant actress Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah.
The film’s trailer was launched on January 11 and it has been viewed more than 332,000 times since its upload on YouTube the same day. A first look of the song ‘Ma K Bhanu’ was also shown at the event. During the trailer launch at Cine-de Chef in Sundhara, the actor turned director spoke about how, with this film, a dream of his has finally been realized.
“It was always my dream to direct Anmol in a film. This wish was close to my heart ever since Anmol was growing up,” he said.
Anmol believes that ‘Dreams’ will appeal to the audience. “My father has always made good films. I feel this is a good film, too,” he stated.
This is Anmol’s third film after ‘Hostel’ and ‘Jerryy.’ The actor has acquired a substantial fan following after both the films.
For Anmol’s co-star Samragyee, this film is also where her own dreams came true. She said, “I’ve always wanted to be an actor. This has been my ambition while I was growing up. But I never imagined that I’d get a break from Bhuwan sir’s banner. I consider myself very lucky.”
Produced by Super Kajol Films, ‘Dreams’ has been written by Samipya Raj Timalsena who stated that the story has fused together the kinds of romance that the father-son duo is known for.
‘Dreams’ has been shot in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Mustang. The film will release on March 4.
