Paragliding pre-world cup to take place in Pokhara from February 27

paraglidingKaski / February 18: Paragliding Pre-World Cup is scheduled to take place from February 27 in Pokhara.

Organised by the Nepal Air Sports Association (NASA), Pokhara, the week-long competition aims at promoting tourism through entertaining and adventure sports, NASA chairman Sovit Baniya.

He informed this at a press conference in Pokhara today. Baniya said that a total 150 paragliding pilots from various 35 countries including Nepal will partake in the competition.

The participant pilots will fly from Sarangkot of Pokhara and land on the shore of the Phewa Lake.

To be funded by the NASA, Nepal Tourism Board and the participants, the competition is estimated to cost around Rs 5.68 million.

The winners will also be given away prizes, said the programme coordinator Krishna Prasad Bhandari. RSS
