Relations with India improved: PM Oli

Prakash Silwal (New Delhi) / February 21: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on his six-day-long state visit to India, has said that Nepal-India relations have improved as per the purpose of his visit.

PM Oli informed the members of his delegation last night saying that misunderstandings surfaced in Nepal-India relations some months ago have been over and mutual relations have been promoted. The PM also stated that confusions regarding the new constitution were also over.

According to PM’s press advisor Pramod Dahal, PM Oli said the agreements that the PM made with India were in Nepal’s interest and the political ties with India were re-established.

PM Oli claimed that his visit was successful in the sense that it was primarily focused on mending political relations.

Likewise, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa said that the visit was successful in regard to bilateral political relations and economic development.

Similarly, PM’s foreign affairs expert Gopal Khanal shared that PM Oli is satisfied with his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the bilateral talks.

Furthermore, Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Deep Kumar Upadhyay also said that PM Oli’s visit helped strengthen the bilateral relations.

PM Oli is leaving for Uttarakhand of India today to visit a mega hydropower project in Bhagirathi River. PM Oli would return to New Delhi today itself and would remain busy in meeting with the political leaders.

Furthermore, PM Oli is scheduled to attend an interaction programme at the Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi. RSS
