Ultra marathon to help quake affected children

Kathmandu / February 26: A 145-kilometer ultra marathon is to be held from Taukhel of Lalitpur to Dolkha in order to collect funds for the children affected by the April 25 earthquake.

Ram Sundar Karki, Raj Pradhan, Narayan Acharya and David J Ngram are among those taking part in the road race. The event is aimed at collecting funds to help construct buildings for children and also to promote tourism, said ultra marathoner Ram Sundar Karki. The ultra marathon will be flagged off from Taukhel on April 6, and will end upon reaching the famous Bhimsensthan temple at Dolakha the next day on April 7. RSS
