Unity, forward looking approach needed for development, Minister Sharma says

Minister SharmaDang / March 1: Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma has said that development of all sectors is possible from unity and forward-looking approach.

Inaugurating the 24th district council of District Development Committee (DDC) Dang on Monday, she said that development would take a speed with the unity of all and asked the stakeholders to pay attention to the quality of the infrastructures by completing the projects in time.

Saying that Dang district possess lots of opportunities in many sectors of development, Minister Sharma stated that the projects in Dang should be selected by making a basis for the future provincial capital city.

Likewise, she added that unity among the political parties is needed for the implementation of the constitution and institutionalise federalism.

Furthermore, she directed the personnel of the civil service to deliver services effectively to the people as the civil servants have major role in service delivery for lack of people’s representatives.

Also speaking at the programme, CPN (UML) vice-chairman Yubraj Gyawali said that the projects selected in the district council should be moved ahead in an effective manner.

On the occasion, District Development Officer Ramesh Gautam presented the budget of Rs 7.48 billion for the fiscal year 2073/074 BS. RSS
