NRA providing first lot of grant in eight districts from Monday

Kathmandu / April 3: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) is providing the first tranche of grant- Rs 50,000- to the people confirmed as the earthquake victims in various eight districts from Monday.

For now, only one VDC is selected from each district for the grant.

NRA Spokesperson Ram Prasad Thapaliya informed the National News Agency (RSS) that the names of earthquake victims getting grants is recorded and made public at the offices of NRA, concerned DDCs and VDCs. Each family gets Rs 200,000 in total but Rs 50,000 in the first installment.

Quake survivors from Okhareni of Ramechhap, Rumjatar of Okhaldhunga, Ratmata Jhangajholi of Sindhuli, Rabiopi of Kavrepalanchowk, Marpak of Dhading, Kharanitar of Nuwakot, Briding of Rasuwa and Hansapur of Gorkha are getting the first tranche.

The NRA added that Rs 80,000 would be the second lot while Rs 70,000 the third. RSS
