International School Cricket League 2016′ from April 9′

Cricket groundKathmandu / April 5: The DAV International Fraternity and Unity School Cricket League 2016 is to be held in the capital from coming April 9 to 14.

Three school teams from India and nine teams from Nepal are taking part in the tournament hosted by the DAV school with the objective of helping promote the sport of cricket from the school-level itself.

The matches will be held in Pulchowk ground, Pulchowk Engineering Campus and Army Ground, Shallaghari, Bhaktapur, according to the organisers. The participating schools from Nepal are Kathmandu DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School, Jawalakhel Kendriya Vidyalaya, Lazimpat, Paragon Public School, Tilganga, Rajan Memorial International School, Balaju, Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya, Shallaghari, Bhaktapur, Nepal Police School, Sanga, Kavre, Little Flower School, Dhangadi, Kailali, New Horizon School, Butwal and Sunrise English School, Chitwan.

Likewise, teams from India include Bal Bhawan International School, Dwarka, Delhi, City Montessori School, Lucknow and Aryan International School, Varanasi.

The tournament is being organized in collaboration with the Cricket Association of Nepal and the organizers have plans to expand it to a south Asian-level. RSS
