Land Revenue Office launches online service

Land Revenue MInistryChitwan / April 11: District Land Revenue Office here has launched an online service focusing the transaction of major four areas.

The online service was launched by Joint Secretary at Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Uttam Kumar Khatri, and Director General at Land Reform and Management Department, Rohit Kumar Bhattarai.

With this, the transaction of lands from Korak, Chandi Bhangjyang and Kabilas VDCs and Ward No 13 and 14 of Bharatpur Sub-Metropolis will be made through the online system.

It is the seventh government office to launch the online service in the country. Earlier, this service was begun from Kalanki and Dillibazar of Kathmandu, and Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Makwanpur, Dhading.

The service is being launched from various 14 government offices with the financial assistance of the Asian Development Bank. So far, 450,000 kittas of land have been registered digital.

The main server of this digital system is looked after by the Office of the Prime Minister. Although both hand written and digital service are in place in the beginning, the hand written documents would be gradually replaced with the digital system.

Director General Bhattarai said the government was making efforts to launch digital service for the transaction of all lands in this district. The owner of the land is provided an ID number with 11 digitals which informs the owner about the size of the land.

The service seekers would be provided information via mobile phone about the digital system. As a result, all fake documentations will be wiped out. RSS
