Nepal-India agree to work jointly to control animal poaching

Nepal and India flagKanchanpur / April 15: Officials of forest offices from both Nepal and India have agreed to act jointly to control the wild animal poaching in border areas.

A joint meeting of the officials from the both sides held in Mahendranagar in the district on Thursday committed to exchange the information and launch joint patrolling to control the poaching, it is learnt.

Following the meeting, Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve, official Bed Kumar Dhakal informed that they agreed to work coordinating each side for the conservation of tigers as it was challenging.

Dhakal added that they reviewed the tasks made so far in this connection and urged the Indian side to stop the sand excavation at Brahmadev area of Mahakali River.

Officials of the District Forest Office and Shuklaphanta Wildlife Reserve from Nepal and officials of Forest Department of Uttarakhanda had participated in the meeting. RSS
