Caste discrimination case filed against school principal, teacher and management committee chairman

Map of Kanchanpur DistrictKanchanpur / April 16: A case of caste discrimination has been filed against principal, teacher and chairman of Baijanath Higher Secondary School at Jhalari Pipaladi Municipality-6 in Kanchanpur district.

Dropati Luhar, who is living in a hut near the school, filed the case against school principal Siddharaj Bhatta, teacher Khadak Saud and Management Committee chairman Hira Prasad Joshi at the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur, on April 12.

Luhar demanded maximum punishment against them saying they forcefully tried to make her go away from the place after constructing a Gaura temple there. Luhar family is taking shelter there for the past 15 years.

Principal Bhatta, however, said that they asked the Luhar family to vacate the place to construct school wall as the land given to Luhar family for shelter in a temporary manner belongs to school. RSS
