Wheelchair basketball in Jumla

Kathmandu / May 17: Nepal Para-Olympic Committee has decided to hold a wheelchair basketball competition in Jumla of the mid-western region. The competition to be organized with the help of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council (NSC) will be held from coming May 20 to 22.

Co-organizers of the event are Nepal Spinal Cord Injury Sports Association, Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Centre and BIA, said Committee general secretary Kumar Poudel adding that the competition would have four teams.

The organizers said the event is expected to spread awareness about sports among the people with disabilities from the distant places, and also give society a message on the same. RSS
