HURPES’ Swabhiman Campaign in 22 more districts

Kathmandu / May 18: The Swabhiman Abhiyan or the campaign for self-respect that the Human Rights and Peace Society (HURPES) has been conducting has been concluded in 22 more districts.

Society president Gangadhar Adhikari said the awareness campaign with the slogan ‘Peace, Non-violence, National Pride, Unity, Goodwill and Self-respect’, has been organised in 22 more districts of the mountainous, hilly and Tarai regions.

The first and second phases of this campaign have already been held 35 districts before this. The open awareness assemblies were held under the campaign at different places across the country in this connection. The campaign began on April 27 and the second phase concluded on May 15.

Various political parties, civil society and local media had expressed their solidarity to the ‘awareness campaign for self-respect’. HURPES says its third phase awareness assemblies will begin from the second week of June. RSS
