‘Hello Sarkar’ decentralized

government logoMakawanpur / May 23: The concept of ‘Hello Sarkar’ initiated by then Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has been expanded as the Central Regional Administration Office in Hetauda of Makawanpur also got a hello sarkar desk section.

Chief Secretary Dr Somlal Subedi on Monday inaugurated the desk. The ‘Hello Sarkar’ is a hotline telephone service set up with an aim to receive complaints from the general public about their concerns regarding the government services.

‘Hello Sarkar’ desk has already been established in Pokhara as part of its drive to expand the service at the regional level. Speaking at the event, the Chief Secretary said that the service has been decentralized to establish good governance and make concerned authorities accountable to their duties.

Secretaries at the office of Prime Minister Chandra Ghimire and Kamalshali Ghimire said that the desk has been set up to facilitate government service to the people, adding that coordination would be provided and monitoring carried out if need be.

On the occasion, Central Regional Administrator Mukunda Prakash Ghimire directed concerned authorities to deliver their duty honestly, evaluate activities of their offices in every four months and send the report to the PM’s office. RSS
