FECOFUN assists two Bhojpur-based micro enterprises

community forestBhojpur / May 25: The Federation of Community Forestry Users Nepal (FECOFUN) has provided grant assistance to two micro enterprises based in Bhojpur.

The micro enterprises chosen for the financial assistance are Jalpadevi Bamboo Industry at Yangpang in eastern Bhojpur, and Matribhumi Agro and Cow Farm in Bhojpur Municipality. They received Rs 177,000 each.

The bamboo industry produces baskets, chair, tables and tray with using raw materials of Himalyan bamboo while nursery plants of different verities of herbs including Rudraksha, walnut, bamboo and cinnamomum tamala locally known as tejpatta are grown in the agro farm.

The assistance was provided through the Multi Stakeholder Forestry Programme that has been operational in the district for the past three years in support of Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN), according to RRN district coordinator Binay Kuma Shah. RSS
