Rs 248 million for hospital building construction

Health MinistryChitwan / May 27: The Ministry of Finance has granted approval to provide a budget of Rs 248 million for the construction of Bharatpur Hospital’s ambitious ‘C’ Block building.

The Finance Ministry assured the funding in a way to construct the hospital building through multi-year contract. For this the Finance Ministry on May 10 sent a letter to the Health Ministry to make necessary arrangement for the same from the ministry budget.

Earlier, the Health Ministry had written a letter to the Finance Ministry to assure budget for the construction of hospital building as per its approved master plan.

The finance ministerial level decision was made to provide the amount to the Hospital on May 10.

The building to be constructed at the cost around Rs 320 million will be well-equipped. Nepal government will have 80 per cent investment while hospital will share 20 per cent of the total expenses of the construction, said Hospital Management Committee Chairperson Bijaya Subedi. RSS
