2 tones of solid waste collected from Bagmati and Bishnumati

Bagmati Cleaning CampaighKathmandu / July 16: Twelve tones of solid waste was collected under the 166th week of the Clean Bagmati Mega Campaign and 101st week of Clean Bishnumati campaign today.

The cleaning took place at Teku area of Lalitpur where 6 metric tons of solid waste was extracted from the Bagmati river and its surrounding.

Official from the Bagmati Civilization Integrated Development Committee, Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police, Kathmandu metropolis, and other civil society organizations took place in the campaign today, according to member of the Committee Narayan Shrestha.

Likewise, the Teku confluence area of Bishnumati river was cleaned up today, generating solid waste collection of six metric tons, according to campaigner Anil Dharel.

Also today, the Rudramati river was cleaned up from Ratopul to Gaushala today, and 275 saplings of various species of trees were planted, member of the Rudramati Sarokar Samaj Rohit Giri said. RSS
