Community guideline to assist in reconstruction activities

Kathmandu / July 17: In a bid to build support and coordination in the local level, the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has finalized the reconstruction community guideline-2016.

Even the community-based committees have been formed to assist in the reconstruction activities in the local level. Through these committees, the people in the ward, village and municipality can be united and expedite the reconstruction works, said NRA Spokesperson Ram Prasad Thapaliya.

As per the guideline, there will be a chairperson, at least five members including three women and a member secretary in the committee. The committee persons are elected by an assembly of the people from the concerned village and wards.

The committee would be helpful for the technicians, village secretary, executive officer, and facilitators while constructing individual houses. RSS
