Embassy’s talks to Malaysian company ensures workers’ return to duty

government logoKathmandu / July 21: A team from Nepal’s Embassy in Malaysia held talks with Latex Manufacturing Company of Epo State of Malaysia after learning that more than 1,000 Nepali workers staged strike over the non-implementation of salary hikes and over time facility on Wednesday.

With four hour long talks, the recruiting company expressed commitment to immediately implement the salary hike and the over time facility as per the Malaysian rule, and also to pay attention on the workers’ health and security issues, said a press release issued by Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

After the commitment, the Nepali workers returned to the duty on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Embassy’s prodding to care the health condition of Nepali security guard at K Force Company, Sagar Shrestha who was injured in a road accident, has ensured his treatment, added the press release. RSS
