Quake victims’ data collection starts in Bhaktapur
Bhaktapur / July 24: The data collection of the quake-stricken started in Bhaktapur district yesterday.
The survey started four days after the schedule as all the municipalities in the district were yet to receive the data on the quake-victims, said Druba Ratna Bajracharya, Director of District Data Collection Management Office, Bhaktapur.
The government teams along with engineers spread across all the six municipalities’ wards from Saturday to collect the data.
The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has already completed the collection of data in 11 other districts outside of the Kathmandu Valley.
The data collection itself will run for 45 days and will also list those who had been left out during the previous survey. “The data collection will be undertaken by listing those with quake-victims’ identity cards while the teams will go from door to door to list those people who were left out during the past survey,” Bajracharya shared.
The quake survivors who have rebuilt their homes can show the photo of their damaged building for identification. The people who were left out can apply at their concerned municipalities.
Bhaktapur’s Chief District Officer (CDO), Tej Prasad Poudel, confirmed the resumption of the data collection on quake victims in the district. RSS
