Floods, landslides kill 75 across country

Nepal FloodKathmandu / July 28: The death toll from the recent water-induced disasters across the country has been counted 75 while the number of injured is 31, and 12 have gone missing, the government data shows. The highest death toll is from Pyuthan.

According to the latest updates made available by the Ministry of Home Affairs, so far, 36 people have lost their lives to monsoon-triggered landslides and floods in Pyuthan and this number from Gulmi is seven.

Likewise, the water-induced disasters killed six in Baglung, four each in Papla and Rolpa, three in Makwanpur, two each in Arghakhanchi, Jhapa and Rupandehi and one each in Kathmandu, Dolakha, Sarlahi, Parbat, Udaypur, Kapilvastu, Bara and Saptari.

Nine have been injured in Gulmi, eight in Parbat, three each in Pyuthan and Banke, two in Kathmandu and one each in Sunsari, Baglung, Dolakha, Arghakhanchi, Sindhupalchowk and Rupandehi. RSS
