12 world records holder Thaneswar attempts to clinch 13th title

Hong KongKathmandu / July 29: Thaneswar Guragai, who has already twelve Guinness World Records for various feats in his name, has once demonstrated his unique skill, securing his berth in the Guinness Book of World Records to clinch the 13th title.

He attempted to break the current world record of 6.14 seconds for spinning a basketball on an elbow, ahead of the start of the ‘Hike for Nepal in Hong Kong’ event in front of the Observation Wheel in Hong Kong’s Central district on July 24, 2016.

The 26-year-old Guragai who hails from Sunsari district spun the basketball for 6.62 seconds on his elbow, making the country proud in Hong Kong. His latest record will be verified by the Guinness.

‘The Hike for Nepal’ event was organised with a view of promoting Nepal’s tourism affected by the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake. “Let’s move our feet along with Nepal” was the theme of the event organised by the Miteri Sewa Samaj Pokhara Hong Kong under the banner of the We Will Rise Foundation. RSS
