Nixing ambassadorial nominations wrong, says Madhav Kumar Nepal

Madhav NepalKathmandu / Aug. 06: CPN-UML leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said that the government’s decision to withdraw nominations of 14 individuals for ambassadors was a wrong decision.

Addressing a programme organised by the CPN-UML Rautahat-Kathmandu Liaison Forum here today, leader Nepal said that the government widened the distance among the political parties after withdrawing the names while the nominees were waiting for the parliamentary hearing.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers on Friday had withdrawn the names of 14 individuals from the nomination as they were recommended by the previous government.

In a different context, leader Nepal stressed political unity for implementing the Constitution. RSS
