Modern agriculture farm in Salyan

agricultureSalyan / Aug 27: A modern Darimjyula Agriculture Farm has been run for the first time in Salyan district.

A group of youths, returned from different countries from overseas employment, has started tomato farming through Israeli technology in the district.

Inaugurating the farm constructed at Darimjyula of Korbang Jhimpe-4 on Friday, Secretary at thw Ministry of Agriculture Development, Uttam Kumar Bhattarai, said that new technology should be entered in the country for agricultural revolution.

Tomato farming has been done on 38 iron tunnels through high technology at 15 ropani of land and the Darimjyula Agriculture Cooperatives has invested around six million rupees for the same, said Cooperatives Chairman Keshab Bahadur Bista.

An arrangement of irrigation facility has been made through drop irrigation technology and a total of 12,000 plants can get irrigation facilities in eight minute at a single time, said Senior Agriculture Development Officer at the District Agriculture Development Office, Tek Prasad Luintel. RSS
