Pokhara audition for folk artists

Folk songPokhara / Sept 4: The Image Channel is set to scan the villages for hidden talents by announcing the Pokhara audition for the ‘Image Folk Artist’ contest.

The audition will take place on Friday and Saturday this week in which contenders of all age groups from Gandaki and Dhaulagiri zones can take part, Contest’s Executive Producer, Anupa Shrestha said. The two zones are known to have a reputation as a fertile land for producing folk songs.

The name registration process for Pokhara audition has started, Image Channel’s Pokhara Correspondent, Pradeep Poudel said.

The contest will take place in Dharan and Kathmandu after the Pokhara audition, Deputy Executive Producer, Anusha Poudel said, adding that the winner will be rewarded with Rs 100,000 in cash prize along with an opportunity to bring out a music video and an album.

The winner will also get a chance to present the Ukali-Orali programme run by the Image Channel. RSS
