One door policy to collect entry fee in Patan museum and durbar square

patan-durbar-squareLalitpur / Sept 14: An agreement has been reached between Patan Durbar Square and Museum to implement the one door policy to collect the entry fee for the visitors.

The agreement will come into force from September 17. Before the agreement, the museum office used to collect the entry fee for the museum visit and Sub Metropolitan City office for the durbar square visit.

Official at the museum Suresh Man Lakhe shared that they agreed to collect the entry fee from a single place aimed at easing the visitors realizing their inconvenience.

He added that with the enforcement of a new decision, foreign visitor could visit the both places paying Rs 1,000.

Earlier, Sub Metropolitan office used to charge Rs 750 and Museum office was charging Rs 400 for the foreigners.

It is noted that the visitors from the SAARC countries will have to pay Rs 250 while those from other countries will be charged Rs 1000.

Foreigners visiting heritage sites in Lalitpur, Kathmandu and Bhaktapur have to pay certain entrance fee to get inside the area.

The people from SAARC countries have to pay less entrance fee in comparison to the other countries.

Similarly, Nepali will have to pay Rs 30 to visit the museum while students can visit it showing their identity cards in Rs 15 only. RSS
