Fair price shops to open from tomorrow

fair_prices_shopsKathmandu / Sept 16: Fair price shops to be set up by the government for festivals like Dashain, Tihar and Chhath will open from tomorrow to November 6.

Various stalls will be established in different areas of Kathmandu valley like Thapathali, Singa Durbar, Ram Shah Path, Balkhu, Teku, Koteshwor, Narayanthan, Jorpati, Bhaktapur, Jawalakhel and Nakku, said the Nepal Food Corporation spokesperson Paban Kumar Karki.

A total of 12,600 quintals rice, 500 quintals wheat flour, 200 quintals beans and 200 quintals millet will be available for sale and Rs 5 will be discounted on each kilogram of the goods, he said.

The stalls will be set up jointly by the NFC, National Trading Limited and Salt Trading Corporation; all government-owned agencies. RSS
