‘Adopt healthy lifestyle to stay away from heart disease’

HeartKathmandu / Sept 24: Cardiologists have suggested to the people to concentrate on their daily lifestyle such as diet intake and regular exercise to stay away from heart disease.

The doctors advised the heart disease prone people to seek timely treatment, take medicines regularly and adopt healthy lifestyle.

Abstinence from drinking alcohol and pursuing exercises regularly would be of a great help to save our heart, said cardiologist Prof Dr Yadav Bhatta at a programme organised by the Norvic International Hospital in the Capital on Saturday on the eve of the World Heart Day that falls on September 29.

Likewise, heart surgeon Dr Jyotendra Sharma said those who have undergone heart surgery can work as normal human do, dismissing the perception that life of those who have undergone heart operation cannot live a normal life thereafter.

“Those undergoing heart surgeries should take medicines regularly and exercise to remain healthy. They can live a normal life thereafter,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Hospital Basanta Chaudhary informed that the hospital was planning to expand its service in to Pokhara and Biratnagar as well. RSS
