‘Reconstruction of Manakamana temple should not face budget crunch’

Manakamana TempleGorkha / Sept 29: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that reconstruction of the Manakamana temple should not face budget constraint.

Talking to reporters after performing a pooja at the temple on Thursday, she said reconstruction of structures with historical and religious importance that were damaged in the earthquake should move ahead with priority, along with reconstruction of people’s home.

The famous temple of Manakamana was damaged in the earthquake and is currently under-reconstruction. A storey of it has been reconstructed. The government has allocated Rs. 40 million for renovating the temple while around Rs. 50 million was collected from the devotees who have visited the temple. RSS
