Curing health of health Ministry my responsibility-Thapa

Gagan ThapaDhangadhi / Oct 4: The Dalianis, HIV Viral Load and sickle-cell anaemia examination service have started at the Seti Zonal Hospital, Dhangadhi from Tuesday.

The service has come into operation at the hospital with the joint assistance of the Health Ministry and Human Organ Transplant Centre.

The hospital has begun its service with the arrangement of well-equipped machine and equipments worth Rs 35 million.

Minister for Health Gagan Thapa opened the services today. On the occasion, Minister Thapa said that the Ministry is effortful to create environment where people do not need to go to Kathmandu or other areas for medical treatment.

“A patient should not go outside for treatment when s/he comes to the hospital as a patient. Efforts are underway to devise competent human resource and equipments in the hospitals”, Minister Thapa added.

Pledging that he would break the earlier trend of low spending of allocated budget in the ministry, he further said, “I have come to assume the responsibility of ministry to get its health good.”

At the programme, Hospital’s Medical Superintendant Dr Surya Bahadur Gurung and Hospital Development Management Committee Chairperson Yagya Raj Pandey highlighted the current services the hospital and additional services to be delivered through the hospital. RSS
