Japanese national performs Yagna for environmental cause

japaneseDhulikhel / Oct 29: A Japanese national who has been promoting global peace and fraternity has helped 13 Vedic pundits perform Yagna at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort at Dhulikhel from today.

But the religious practice is aimed at helping purifying the air. Study has shown that the pollutants in the air are either neutralized or destroyed while performing yagna (making offerings of ghee, grain etc to fire), thereafter triggering rainfall.

The two-day Yagna performed under the initiation of Aradha Ayatoshi was coordinated by Nabin Dangol and Paru Dangol.

The 52-year-old Japanese has been performing such Yagnas in Nepal since 2007. He shared that such performances help him attain peace of mind and enable him to attain his goals.

The Buddhist Lamas are also taking part in the Yagna, according to Shiva Prasad Pundit, one of the Pundits performing the religious affair. RSS
