Human Rights Magna Meet on December 9-11

human-rights-for-all-humans-is-rightKathmandu / Dec 7: The 8th Human Rights Magna Meet-2016 is taking place in Kathmandu on December 9-11 on the occasion of the 68th International Human Rights Day-2016.

Organizing a press conference on Wednesday, the National Magna Meet Main Function Committee informed that the national jamboree has been organized since last seven years for safeguarding human rights, democracy, peace and sustainable development as.

Among the issues to be discussed in the mega event are gender equality, Sustainable Development Goals, status of post-disaster management and provision of constitutional rights of women belonging to indigenous nationalities.

Vice-President Nanda Kishor Pun is set to inaugurate the magna meet while National Human Rights Commission Chairperson Anup Raj Sharma will wrap up the event. RSS
