Gothale’s Bhoko Ghar on stage
Kathmandu / Dec 17: Eminent playwright Govinda Malla Gothale’s distinguished one-act play Bhoko Ghar is slated to be staged at the Theatre Mall in the Capital starting this Friday. The play will be directed by Kedar Shrestha.
Written in the ‘70s, the play revolves around crises the Nepali middle-class families go through. The play narrates a feud that arises in a family as a consequence of economic crisis.
In a press note issued by the producers, the play’s director Kedar Shrestha states, “This is a play where I have actually acted in a long time ago. While performing the play, I was touched by the layered sequences of dialogues and now I have attempted to direct the play myself.”
The 65-minute-long play features actors Aakash Giri, Sudham CK, Sanjita Sanji and Abhay Baral, in lead roles.
Bhoko Ghar is on stage at Theatre Mall, every day at 4:45 pm, from December 16, until January 7. Source: The Kathmandu Post
