Commitment of over Rs 500 million investment in hydropower

Kathmandu / Jan 10: The Ministry of Energy has received a commitment of Rs 570 million from the people for investment in hydropower in response to its public call for the same.
The Ministry sought the commitment online from the public for investment on hydropower generation from within the country under the slogan of ‘Nepal’s water, Nepali’s investment’.
Till the Tuesday evening, the Ministry recorded commitment from over 9,165 people for the investment on hydropower, informed, Basanta Sharma, personal secretary of the Energy Minister.
Similarly, six companies have institutionally proposed for the investment. RSS
