Transport Management Office, Bhaktapur begins issuing driving licenses

Kathmandu / Jan 15: Driving license can now be acquired from the Transport Management Office in Jagati of Bhaktapur also. Distribution of driving licenses began from the office on Sunday.

Inaugurating the service, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Lekhak said that the ministry was working out to update licenses in online system. He further directed the concerned bodies to develop the trial centers as well.

The expansion of the transport office is expected to facilitate the distribution of driving licenses without much hassle, he added.

Similarly, secretary at the Ministry, Dhan Bahadur Tamang shared that the service recipients would easily acquire services from the office as they were making the system transparent and easier. He shared that such office soon will resume in Chabahil as well.

It may also be noted that the Department of Transport Management has initiated filling of forms for driving license online. It has been distributing smart license since the past one year. RSS
