Summit on climate change from Jan 24

Climate ChangeKathmandu / Jan 22: The Nature-Human Centric People’s Movement is going to organise the ‘Seventh People’s SAARC Summit’ in Kathmandu from January 24.

In the two-day Summit, some 200 representatives from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives would discuss the environmental impacts seen due to climate change.

Nepal Chapter Chairperson of the Nature-Human Centric People’s Movement Dindaya Rijal said that the discussions would be held in the Summit about the causes of climate change, its impact on SAARC region and measures to lessen the climate change.

The representatives of participating countries would present working papers about the situation of climate change in their respective countries.

Spain, Canada, USA, South Korea, China and Japan would participate in the conference as observers. RSS
