Radio on wheels concludes in the lake city
Kathmandu / Feb 16: Radio on Wheels, a musical road show by Radio Kantipur, ended on Tuesday after reaching its final destination, Pokhara. The second leg of the event which travelled from Dhangadi through Nepalgunj to reach Pokara featured RJs such as Hem Subedi and Alisha Subedi, along with singers Dharmendra Sewan and Shreya Sotang.
The closing ceremony in Pokhara started with the performance of singer Dharmendra Sewan who performed his father’s famous song, Resham Firiri along with his other hits. Sewan’s father Buddhi Pariyar who gave major hits such as Herda Ramro Machhapuchchhre in his time, is originally from Pokhara.
Sewan’s performance was followed by that of Shreya Sotang who sang hits like Mai Chori ko Rupai Ramro among others.
The event also engaged the audience with game shows such as quiz competition and a basketball match.
Radio Kantipur’s road show which started from Jhapa’s Birtamod in the first week of February travelled through 11 cities before concluding in Pokhara. Source: The Kathmandu Post
