Govt. to establish Sushil Koirala Cancer Hospital in Banke

Sushil-KoiralaKathmandu / Feb 28: The government has extended the term of a committee formed to make recommendations after studying the report of the Local Level Restructuring Commission by three days.

Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Hitraj Pandey, said that a decision was taken to give more time to the Committee to address concerns over the LLRC’s report by forging a political consensus on the same. And present any unaddressed grievances to the Cabinet.

Minister Pandey leads the three-member committee which was earlier given one week’s time.

A meeting of Council of Ministers held at Singha Durbar on Tuesday also decided to accept Rs 15.93 billion in loan assistance from the World Bank for implementation of health sector management reforms programme.

Similarly, the meeting decided to deploy 700 Nepal Army personnel for the security of forest area as well as to establish Infrastructure Development Bank with joint participation of the government and private sector.

The government also decided to establish the ‘Sushil Koirala Cancer Hospital’ in Banke and to release funds required for different programme as per the existing budget ceiling, said Minister Pandey. RSS
