Local levels not permanent: LLRC Chair Poudel

local-level-restructuring-commissionParbat / March 18: Local Level Restructuring Commission Chair Balananda Poudel has asserted that the recently determined local levels may not be permanent.

At a programme held at Kushma Bazaar on Saturday, Chairperson Poudel said the local level centres were determined in view of compulsion for holding local level elections in the stipulated date.

He ruled out any meaning of launching agitation on the issue of local level centres as it could be altered on the basis of majority of the people’s representatives after local level election, which is also provisioned in the constitution.

Meanwhile, locals of Jaljala Rural Municipality had greeted Poudel with black flags and chanted slogans against him, saying the local level centre was inconvenient for them. RSS
