Election in free, fearless milieu, Chief EC Yadav says

Election CommissionKathmandu, March 31: Chief Election Commissioner (EC) Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav has urged all not to harbour doubts on holding the local level elections in a free, and fearless manner in the slated time.

At a training programme on security in local level elections, organized in the capital on Friday, Yadav asked the government to make smooth security arrangement by identifying the security threats and risks.

“Security is the basic need of citizens. The security bodies are required to be deployed at the local levels immediately by making action plans. The EC also expects neutral, independent and fair work execution from the security bodies,” the Chief Election Commissioner underscored.

On the occasion, Election Commissioner Sudhir Kumar Saha directed the security officials to perform their duties professionally.

Likewise, Joint Secretary at Ministry of Home Affairs Bal Krishna Panthi said that security issues in the local level elections were serious and of vital importance due to massive participation of folks and large number of candidates. RSS
