UN Resident Coordinator Julliand pays courtesy call on DPM Mahara

U N LogoKathmandu / July 19: Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Nepal, Valerie Julliand, has on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Krishna Bahadur Mahara.

During the meeting held at the Foreign Ministry, they discussed the Nepal-UN relations and cooperation.

On the occasion, Foreign Minister Mahara expressed gratitude towards the support provided by the UN in different sectors of Nepal.

Saying the local level elections were successfully held in two rounds in course of implementing the constitution, he said the third round of local polls and the remaining elections of provinces and the federation would also be completed successfully.

Similarly, Coordinator Julliand said that the friendly relations between Nepal and the UN would be further strengthened in the days ahead.

Expressing happiness over successful completion of the two rounds of local level elections, she expressed her hope that the remaining elections would also be held successfully. RSS
