Doors to development will open after construction of bridge at Dudhkoshi, PM says
Kathmandu / Sept. 16: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has laid foundation stone of a bridge over Dudhkoshi (Sunkoshi) River at Ranitarghat in Udayapur district amidst a function here on Saturday.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba said that doors to development in Khotang and Udaypur districts would be opened up after the construction of the bridge.
He expressed the view that the bridge would help for the connectivity and other economic development of the eastern hilly areas in the future and all should now take it positively.
The 200-metre-long and 10.5-metre wide bridge is going to be constructed at the cost of Rs 222.5 million of the National Planning Commission, said Chairman of Chaudandi Tourism Development Committee Rohit Tamang.
The construction work of the bridge is expected to complete by April 2019.
On the occasion, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bir Bahadur Balayar, former Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai and Nepali Congress central committee member Dr Narayan Khadka also addressed the programme. RSS
