No load-shedding except when there’s technical problem: NEA

ElectricityKathmandu / Dec 21: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has clarified that there would be no load-shedding except the technical problem.

The NEA made this clarification after news indicating that NEA starts load-shedding disseminated in different media and social networking sites for the past few days.

NEA Chief Executive Officer, Kulman Ghising, said that there would be no any-type of load-shedding to other clients except industrial clients for three hours daily.

He said although power supply has been disrupted at some places for sometimes due to technical problems, there would be no power-outage.

Ghising said, “We have been resolving problems of power disruption by deploying technical teams.” The capacity of feeder and transformer has been developed as well as power distribution system has been strengthened to bring quality improvement in power supply viewing clients demand.

He further said that management of power supply has become challenging during this season due to the high demand for power in this period.

Ghising said that the NEA was committed to ease the power supply as far as possible, adding NEA was determined to provide power supply this year too as like last year. RSS
