80 per cent complaints addressed at ‘Hello Sarkar’

government logoKathmandu / Dec 21: Hello Sarkar, an official portal of the Nepal government, has so far addressed 80.77 per cent of the total complaints registered during the past six years.

Ram Chandra Koirala, Section Officer at Hello Sarkar Office said, “A total of 59,186 public complaints lodged at Hello Sarkar during the period were addressed.”

The portal has recorded 67,613 public complaints. It is yet to address remaining 8,427 complaints.

Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai had brought the portal into effect to listen to public complaints some six years back ago in 2012.

According to the Office, 2,586 complaints among them are to be addressed soon.

Hello Sarkar has been addressing the complaints received by putting them into three categories – high priority, priority and general.

Most of the complaints received so far are related to development works, health, education, employment and administration.

The general public can lodge their complaints by dialing 1111 and the employees would forward them to the concerned authorities. RSS
