Dahal reiterates party unification is certain
Kathmandu / Jan 15: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the country could not prosper well due to our practice of development for politics instead of politics for development.
Inaugurating the 4th Tarebhir Mahotsav in Gokarneshowr Municipality in Kathmandu Monday, Prachanda said that an opportunity has been received to exercise politics for development and the people have given a nearly two-thirds majority to the left alliance for the same purpose.
The Maoist Center Chairman said that the people put their faith in the left alliance as the Maoist and UML teamed up for elections to make the robust economy in the country and form a powerful communist center.
“There is no way to retreat from the party unification process. Nepalis have approved the party unification through voting,” he added.
Saying that the people voted for political stability, Dahal reaffirmed his pledge for economic prosperity in the country along with political stability.
He argued that a new era would begin in the country’s development infrastructure sector and a stable government with five-year tenure would be formed for the first time in the country’s political history after 70 years.
During the program, the former Prime Minister also pledged for touristic development of Tarebhir.
Meanwhile, Dahal expressed pleasure for the campaign to hoist the national flag in Tarebhire region.
“I am excited for your (locals’) initiatives to promote national unity and nationalism by exhibiting tribute to the national flag,” he added.
On the occasion, UML leader and state assembly member Rameshwor Phuyal and Maoist Centre leader Krishna KC also expressed their opinions.
The Mahotsav shall run till Tuesday. RSS
