Bagmati cleanup campaign honoured with Bhagirath Puraskar

Bagmati cleaning CampaignKathmandu / Jan 31:The Bagmati Cleanup Mega Campaign has been honoured with Bhagirath Puraskar at a programme organized by Akhil Bishow Gayatri Paribar in Nagpur of India.

The campaign was felicitated for creating nationwide awakening by lunching the regular cleanup campaign.

Campaigner of Bagmati Cleanup Campaign Dr Raju Adhikari received the Bhagirath Medal on Sunday in the Indian city.

India’s Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari handed over the prize to Dr Adhikari and wished for the continuity of Bagmati cleanup campaign.

The Bagmati cleanup mega campaign is entering its 247th week on coming Saturday. With the beginning of Bagmati cleanup, a nationwide wave of river cleanup has started while such campaigns are ongoing in more than 45 places across the country.
