NMA demands implementation of four-point agreement
Kathmandu / Feb 02: The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has drawn the attention of the government to implement the four-point agreement reached with it earlier.
In an agreement reached on September 29, 2017 between the NMA and the government in the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, NMA had put forth various demands including amendment of the Health Worker and Security Act 2066 and its Regulations 2069, and increase in facilities and pays of doctors.
Issuing a statement, General Secretary of the NMA Dr Lochan Karki has expressed concerns saying that the government had turned a blind eye to the agreement.
The NMA has also warned of a stern step in case of failure for executing the agreement at the earliest. RSS
