Rhino rescued from septic tank in Chitwan

Rhino imageRatnagar / Feb 10: A Rhino that had fallen into a septic tank was successfully rescued on Saturday morning.

Nurendra Aryal, Information Officer at the Chitwan National Park said, “The rhino that had been trapped after falling into a septic tank of a private house in Sauraha district last night was successfully pulled out today.”

A team of Nepal Army and the park officials worked together with the help of an elephant to retrieve the rhino that had reportedly fallen into the septic tank after its lid slipped under.

Meanwhile, the park administration has appealed to the residents living near the buffer zone to fill up any potholes, and strongly cover up the septic tank and bio-gas plant. RSS
